United Kingdom’s Volunteers’ Week<\/a>, June 1-7, 2011<\/p>\n

New Zealand’s National Volunteer Awareness Week<\/a>, June 18-24, 2017<\/p>\n

Singapore’s National Volunteer Month<\/a>, December, 2017<\/p>\n

During these weeks (and always!), remember to honor your online volunteers and to use the Internet to honor ALL volunteers<\/a>, regardless of where service is performed. This resource can help<\/a>, you do that, as can The\u00a0<\/a><\/em>Last\u00a0<\/a>Virtual Volunteering Guidebook<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There are also MANY days designated\u00a0to encourage volunteer action<\/a>. Energize has a terrific compilation of these<\/a>\u00a0as well on its web site. These are great days for creating one-time, short-term group volunteering activities<\/a>, including\u00a0one(-ish) day “tech” activities for volunteers<\/a>, like hackathons and edit-a-thons.<\/p>\n
