So, here&#8217;s the answers to those questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There are several UN agencies working together to address the regional crisis. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/emergency\/somalia\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UNHCR<\/a>, the refugee agency, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/emergency\/somalia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has a page on its website<\/a> detailing what aid specific amounts of money will buy for its effort in Somalia. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csmonitor.com\/tags\/topic\/UNICEF\" class=\"inform_link\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UNICEF<\/a>, the UN children&#8217;s agency, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unicef.org\/infobycountry\/kenya_59182.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">is also seeking assistance<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/secure.unicefusa.org\/site\/Donation2?df_id=10481&amp;10481.donation=form1&amp;JServSessionIdr004=xykubug0l2.app220b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">US citizens, donate here<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wfp.org\/crisis\/horn-of-africa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">World Food Programme<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wfp.org\/crisis\/horn-of-africa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> has a full page detailing its efforts in the region<\/a> and is collecting donations.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oxfam.org\/eastafrica\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oxfam<\/a><\/strong> is accepting donations for its efforts to alleviate the drought in the region, which was the key cause of the famine. It is providing  both emergency water supplies and leading efforts to build more  sustainable water resources and practices.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icrc.org\/eng\/where-we-work\/africa\/somalia\/index.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Committee of the Red Cross<\/a><\/strong> has been in Somalia, working alongside the Somali Red Crescent Society, since the 1970s.
