Stefan built a camping trailer! It's amazing: inside feels SO roomy. They mattress folds up into a couch, so we can sit inside and play backgammon on rainy or very cold nights, it folds out into a full size bed, Lucinda the dog has her own bed space at my feet, and the back, outside, opens into a kitchen space. And we can pull it with our Honda Fit! The inside lights, powered by a solar-powered battery, are plenty bright to read at night.

He built this square drop camping trailer atop a trailer from Harbor Freight Tools. You can see photos from the build on Flickr.

You will note that the wheels on the trailer have been moved back a bit from the first versus the third photo.

We will use this for relative close-by camping in Oregon and Washington-state.
