Shake it baby, shake it
April 3, 2007
We shook and we shook this morning. Temporarily, I'm sharing my office with our guy that manages Kandahar projects -- he's from Vermont and looks like Santa Claus. He's here for two days. He said, "Hey, are we shaking? Do you feel that?" And I didn't. And then I did. And then I REALLY did. And then I looked over and saw our water dispenser having a mini-tsunami. And we ran OUT of the building, with all the other internationals.
The Afghans stayed inside. Earthquake? Bah.
"Initial Report received indicates that at around 0800hrs of 3 April 07, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck on/around South of Faizabad, Badakshan Province, Afghanistan. It is being reported that this earthquake took place 210 kms underground in the Hindu Kush."
